Don't click on any link. Take a moment and ask yourself if the text is legitimate. This especially includes texts that pretend to be seeking additional payments for online shopping, package delivery services or VAT and Duties that claim to be owed.

2. Investment opportunity too good to be true?
With news that investment markets have been doing well recently, criminals are getting in on the act with promises of excellent profits. Be wary of promotions that seem too good to be true. Ensure you are dealing with an investment professional. And finally, remember to verify any financial adviser is fully qualified and regulated.

3. Checking in on your accounts?

4. Security codes being requested?
