How We Manage Our Car Draw

Following some media comments yesterday, we wanted to inform our members how we here at St. Joseph's Irish Airports & Aviation Credit Union actually manage our monthly car draw process.

  1. Members that participate in our car draw MUST sign-up first; no member is ever automatically entered into the car draw.
  2. Employees or volunteers of St. Joseph’s are NOT allowed to participate in the car draw.
  3. Car Draws take place once per month in the public lobby of the Dublin Branch of St. Joseph’s Irish Airports & Aviation Credit Union. In addition, each draw, be it for the car or any subsequent prizes (cash), is witnessed by members that are not employees or volunteers (Board of Directors, Board Oversight Committee etc).
  4. Car draw winners are managed by a randomized computer programme over which staff have no control.
  5. The car draw at St. Joseph’s Irish Airports & Aviation Credit Union is operated on a not-for-profit basis. This means if there is a build-up of a surplus amount of cash, we hold additional car draws to deplete that surplus
  6. Following each monthly car draw, winners are published on our website (www.aviationcu.ie) and on our Facebook and Twitter posts.
  7. Members that wish to exit the car draw can do so by simply letting a member of staff know via in-branch visit, phone call or through digital media (email).

We wish to thank all members for their business and loyalty. We work hard to make a difference and the most important aspect of what we do each day is to earn the trust of our members. Our car draw is managed professionally and for the benefit of members. Our credit union is also managed professionally and we continue to ask members how we can improve the service offering to ensure we meet their changing needs.
