CAR DRAW TRANSITION TO PRIZE DRAW
 
Since our foundation over 60 years ago, putting the financial needs of members has been at the center of what we do. And our monthly car draw has been an integral part of that. With the arrival of each car draw day, there is always an explosion of anticipation and great excitement. And of course, there have been the winners, so many lucky winners through the years.
 
Today, we are at a juncture. With the rapid rise in car prices, the cost of running the monthly car draw has risen also. And with no recent changes in the cost of participation, this has resulted in a tighter margin overall. Because of this, a recent member survey on the car draw reveals that an overwhelming majority of car draw members (81% of responders) favour a transition to a cash draw. Additionally, there was no clear appetite for a rise in the cost of the monthly draw.
 
Beginning July 2023, our new cash prize draw arrangement will become operational. The top cash prize is being set at €20,000 with additional prizes month on month as funding permits.
 
Please note there will be NO CHANGE to the monthly cost of participation.
 
Each month, we hold our prize draw in the public lobby of our Dublin Airport branch. From time to time, such as at Christmas, we may also hold additional prize draws at our Shannon and Cork branches. Read our full Terms & Conditions here.

Prize draw winners are published on this website immediately after each draw and on our various social media channels. Our prize draw is managed on a not-for-profit basis. It is the policy of Aviate Credit Union that staff and volunteers (Directors, Board Oversignt Committee) are not permitted to participate in the prize draw.
